EMDR
EMDR offers a structured, evidence-based way to process distressing experiences, helping the mind and body heal from what it couldn’t fully make sense of at the time.
We work with children, adolescents and adults, both face-to-face and online, tailoring sessions to the unique needs of each individual.
What is EMDR?
EMDR is a powerful therapeutic approach that helps people process traumatic memories that are “stuck”, often causing anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm or distressing physical responses.
Through a series of guided steps involving bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping), EMDR helps the brain reprocess traumatic or difficult experiences, so they feel less intense and more manageable. It’s not about forgetting. Instead, it’s about freeing yourself from the emotional grip of the past.

We have particular experience in working with:
- Trauma and complex cases
- People affected by abuse, neglect or exploitation
- Loss, grief and attachment disruption
- Emotional dysregulation and anxiety
- Chronic shame, low self-worth and relational trauma.
Whether your trauma is rooted in a single event or a long-standing history, EMDR can offer a structured, effective way to process it.
We understand how personal and vulnerable the therapy journey can be. Our approach to EMDR is gentle, collaborative and grounded in clinical skill.
We take time to ensure you feel ready before beginning the EMDR process and we support you every step of the way. We will always work at your pace, with safety and compassion at the core.
